Italian Scholarship

In Italy, international students have access to the same financial assistance services as their Italian counterparts, provided they meet the same criteria regarding financial need and/or academic merit. Additionally, there are government scholarships available at both the national and regional levels that international students can apply for.

Italian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students

The Italian Government provides scholarships amounting to 5,200 Euros per year for international students pursuing studies in Italy. These scholarships are exclusively available for study and research initiatives at institutions within the Italian public education and research framework. Eligible programs include undergraduate and postgraduate university degree courses, advanced vocational training, art and music programs, Master’s degree courses (Levels I or II), Ph.D. programs, specialization schools, research under academic supervision, as well as courses focused on the Italian language and culture or for teachers of Italian as a second language.

The "Invest Your Talent in Italy" initiative, backed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for Economic Development, provides students from India, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, and South Africa with the chance to enhance their skills and specialize through various Master’s and postgraduate degree programs in ICT, Management, and Design at renowned Italian universities. Outstanding students will be awarded scholarships funded by corporate partners and main sponsors.

Bologna University Study Grants for International Students

The University of Bologna provides study grants to qualified international students seeking to enroll in First Cycle (Bachelor's), Second Cycle (Master's), or Single Cycle Degree Programs. Each grant is available for one academic year and has a total value of €11,059, with all associated charges being the responsibility of the recipient.

University of Pavia International Scholarships for Developing Country Students

The University of Pavia (UNIPV) aims to enhance international collaboration with developing nations by providing scholarships for chosen master's programs at either the University of Pavia or the Institute for Advanced Study of Pavia (IUSS). These scholarships are specifically designed for students hailing from countries identified as low-income or lower-middle-income economies by the World Bank. Each scholarship has an approximate value of €7,000.

Bocconi University Scholarships for International Students

Bocconi University provides scholarships for international students who are admitted to any qualifying bachelor's or Master of Science program. These scholarships are granted based on the economic circumstances of the student's family. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, amounting to €11,500 annually for bachelor's programs and €12,000 annually for Master of Science programs.

Politecnico de Milano Merit-Based Scholarships for International Students

Each year, Politecnico di Milano provides a range of merit-based scholarships to outstanding international candidates accepted into a Master of Science program commencing in the first semester of the academic year. Recipients of these scholarships will only be required to pay an administrative fee of approximately €200. Scholarships ranging from €5,000 to €10,000 per year may be granted in addition to a tuition fee waiver, contingent upon the candidates' prior academic achievements.

Università Cattolica Scholarships for English Taught Master’s Program

International students pursuing eligible English-taught master’s programs at Universita Cattolica can apply for available scholarships. These scholarships are awarded based on merit, with a preference for those who submit their applications by the priority deadline. The scholarship amounts vary, ranging from €1,750 to €7,500.

University of Padova Scholarships for All Degree Courses

The University of Padova is capable of managing regional funds aimed at supporting low-income students, including both Italian and international individuals, who demonstrate strong academic performance while pursuing their degrees at the institution. The scholarship is composed of financial assistance as well as services, which include housing and meals provided at the University cafeterias.
